NEW LOGO FOR XPCT?

That's an awful lot going on in one image.

Terribly overdone more than anything, keep it simple in both imagery and color palette.

Yeah...just fucking around with it wasnt really sure of what its use was goin to even be for. i have a bunch of them - this ones about 20x more straight forward

I take it the wings on the TR logo is you're thing? The current one on you're website is really good just play around with that one. why not make a thin ominous red glow around the wings? Maybe place the wording Xplicit just above the TR logo on the top in bold military lettering.
Try turning the current green glow into a battle ribbon(colors in grays,blacks and reds) of you're style and place lots of bullet holes and scratches into it. Just an idea to make it simple and more gritty if you get me.

morgothic made this website and the current green one, all i did was change it to black and paste it onto an official planetside picture

i'll have ago when i get chance, during my call of duty united offensive days i use to make all the sig's and our website banners for our clan... just some of the examples of work i use to do.

Heres something i quickly put together in 20 mins or so... text is a bit rubish, i need to dirty it up a bit, plus i'll add some sort of background to it, depends if you want it just as a logo, or a full banner... i'll mock up some more idea's later when ive hunted down some food for tea

looking a bit better, like the black outline on the text more, plus made the max head a bit bigger

Sweet banner and logo silver, and im glad you liked my idea, would of done it my self but i don't even get on with paint let alone Photoshop -_- looking at that screenshot if the lettering was red on website would look very TR lol.

Armor and helmet hell yes, will have to vote no on getting fractures on there however.

could maybe do the new Armour and Helmet if i knew someone with it and was willing to do a photo shoot with me... don't think using the in game model would look as good as a logo though...

I'm not that satisfied with the current header tbh. It really doesn't say anything. I made a bunch of them that were alot better but as I kept changing the laylout of the forums on request I just made that one really quick to go with the current, green layout. In fact I much preferred the black/red layout and some of the earlier headers.

I have a bad habit of not saving the psd files if I had I'd be glad to provide them for easy modification of the current one header which probably concists 5 or 6 objects/layers. Simply cutting out the current logo from a jpeg and covering it up with filters looks horrible. Use a format that supports transparent backgrouns

I good tip is not to work on anything like this for more than 30 minutes, it tends to get messy and over worked. It's better to back it up a bit or start over completely. Simple and informative is key. Always try to use a format that support transparent backgrounds aswell. I've faked a transparent background on the current (jpeg) one by matching the background color on the forum for various reasons. It's not ideal since it would like like crap if the background color changes.

This is some of my favorite work (it's actually a bunch of forum signatures for an old guild). Simple, clean and informative.

As for the site all tht i'd recommend doing is changing the green to red, its easy enough to do, find the theme the website is running, open the css in Dreamweaver, find every color code for that green txt and replace it with a TR red color code, ive done it enough times over the years.

Removing the HUD and gun is done by clicking CTRL + F10/11 (10 for HUD 11 for gun)

Nah, I already used a more TR-type color blend like I wrote in my post. People immediatley started complaining thier eyes hurt and a bunch of stuff like that (Personally I found that just as easy to read as this). I changed color, theme and another group of people complained instead it went on like that and this is like v.6.5 of the forum laylout

The current skin and general appearance of the forum is the only one people haven't complained about really. This isn't what I think the forum should look like, far from it. And it's not that I don't want or can change it (I'd much prefer a more military like look over the whole punk-thing.) But rather that this is what I've been instructed to make.
